# About the ĞDev network

**ĞDev** is the 1st test currency of Duniter-v2s.

Multiple iterations were launched:

It allows to:

1. fix the Duniter-v2s bugs and caveats before the migration
2. build the ecosystem around it (indexers, wallets, clients…)
3. popularize new concepts among the advanced Ğ1 users to prepare the migration
4. train the smith to operate on a network without consequences
5. iterate faster than only runtime upgrade because it avoids writing migrations
