Ğinkgo release 1.2.0

New version 1.2.0 of Ğ1nkgo released! Includes significant improvements and new features this is why I recommend it use.

It includes among other things: Supports payments to multiple recipients; Auto-recovery from a poor list of nodes; Enhanced transaction display and processing; Clearer error messages in payments. More details here. You can download the package here or use directly in https://g1nkgo.comunes.org.

PS: In the release page there is a video of the multi payment feature that is useful for multiple payment in markets and events (In the video I paste a big list of collaborators of a recent event). Sorry it’s in Spanish.

Great idea ! But is it the pubkey v2 or an address (v2) ?

We need to standardize the vocabulary ?

I was doing some analysis (see Anectode sur le nombre de transactions - #10 by HugoTrentesaux) and was curious about Ğ1nkgo usage.

keyword ‘ginkgo’ includes multiple spellings:

  • G1nkgo: 115
  • Ginkgo: 58
  • ginkgo: 38
  • g1nkgo: 21

Could be compared with “Cesium” (457) and “cesium” (414)

We can infer that the use of Ğinkgo is quite high :slight_smile:

:rocket: g1nkgo v1.2.2 is now available!

This version includes:

• Bug fixes in node selection (especially for cases with many out-of-sync Duniter 1.9 nodes)
• Wallet export/import now includes contacts and selective export options
• Save wallet backups in Android’s Download folder (new permission required)
• Improved transaction fetching
• Added GNU/Linux support
• Danish translation (thanks Gerhard!)
And many more minor improvements! :blush:

You can download it here or use the web version directly at https://g1nkgo.comunes.org.

I recommend to update and use it!

More details here.

I tried to import an account using an export file and got the error message before even a file selection:

It seems that the app is not able to ask the system to select a file.

I was however able to import from clipboard. The security pattern does not allow any mistake which forces to start over.

Fixed both Issues in the last snapshot.

Merci @HugoTrentesaux !

I’m happy to announce the release of g1nkgo version 1.2.3, which includes:

  • Added market analysis tool for Android (just test it in the sandwich drawer and see screenshots below) (*)
  • Fix for export import in GNU/Linux (thx @HugoTrentesaux)
  • Improve version 2 node checking
  • Fix export selector issue (thanks @arbocenc for the report)
  • Use of an image more correct in G1nkgo Intro (thx @HugoTrentesaux)
  • Allow 3 tries to unlock an export (feedback from @HugoTrentesaux)
  • Improved Italian, Spanish and French translations (thanks italpaola !)
  • Improved Catalan (thanks @arbocenc), Danish (thanks to Gerhard Pischinger) and German (thanks to FW!)
  • Added version 2 nodes
  • Debian package
  • Workaround for @arbocenc connectivity issue in GNU/Linux (wip)

(*) Market analysis is disabled in web since the https://ginkgo.comunes.org is not whitelisted in the GVA nodes and this is problematic.

Other data: the number of users with the " ❥" in their cesium profile searching in a v2 datapod (g1nkgo adds this suffix to all the wallets when setting a name, to avoid collisions):

query SearchProfileByTermCount($pattern: String! =" ❥") {
    profiles_aggregate(
    where:
        { title: { _iregex: $pattern } }
  ) {
    aggregate {
      count
    }
  }
    profiles(
  where: {
            _or: [
                { title: { _iregex: $pattern } }
                { description: { _iregex: $pattern } }
            ]
        }
    ) {

        pubkey
        title
        pubkey
    }
}

Gives:

{
  "data": {
    "profiles_aggregate": {
      "aggregate": {
        "count": 491
      }
    },
    "profiles": [
      {
        "pubkey": "5HP8nWv9a38RvcBkr5nWDzPtDa2w7zfRLMkVc4f9QsaDTeit",
        "title": "ElenaCq ❥"
      },
(...)
}

But this is only users that set a name to their g1nkgo wallet.
