[Presentation] fnetx

Bonjour,

unfortunately my French is not good enough to write an introduction while tired. Anyway, I just wanted to check out Cesium as a browser extension, and noticed that there are a lot of typos in the German translation.

It looks like the translation workflow for this software is not really convenient, but I couldn’t really find any information about the expected workflow. (I’d suggest using Weblate to make translation a little easier)

Anyway, I’d be available to send a small patch, but need a GitLab account for this

About me: I’m currently hacking on Forgejo and I’m the representative of Codeberg, so I really value that you encourage contributions outside of Github, although I didn’t expect that I was required to do so many steps. Next to software, I work in sustainable event technology using only cargobikes and avoiding fossil-generated electricity.

Since the community is mostly French-speaking, I doubt I’ll stick for long, especially since meeting humans is probably difficult. But now that I corrected the typos, I would love to send the patch

I created a user for you : https://git.duniter.org/fnetx with the mail duniter-gitlab@<same tld as your forum email>

It seems that only Cesium v2 is available on our weblate (https://weblate.duniter.org/), but the strings are the same and could be imported easily in Cesium v1 by @kimamila or @zoltounet I think.

Sorry for the many steps and thank you for your contributions! I hope that soon we will have more people in Germany (see map https://carte.monnaie-libre.fr/?members). @RutenRolf or @hypericum, do you know other German contributors?

Is contributing via Weblate the preferred workflow then? I am happy to just do this instead.

I cannot find any translations in Weblate.

Both cesium versions are not easy to integrate out-of-box in Weblate. Some work has to be done by the developers. In the meantime, MR is the way to contribute to translations in Cesium.
