G1nkgo in GTest

[FR]

Ok, G1nkgo is in Google Play:

It will install a different app, with a different signature, so you have to export/import your wallets. The old one has a Ginkgo name and the new one is called G1nkgo (same logo).

This is something that I tried 2 years ago:

but for different reasons I coudn’t accomplish until now, just in time for v2  :grimacing: .

The screenshots are a bit old too, but anyway…

Disclaimer, I didn’t test these builds, only the development linux version (it should be similar).

Time to sleep.

Bug of collective forgetting of wallets, and no wallet Ginkgo

Ok. I see… I had issues with this part of the code and it seems are not fixed. I’ll solve it ASAP

It’s a recent bug in v1 after adding the deletion confirmation (this week I think) and it’s not present in v2. In short (tomorrow?) I’ll delete this v1 code.

Thanks for the report anyway.

Do Ginkgo support migration with ability to choose a good random twelve words passphrase? I saw connexion with public key and id, pwd are ok.

And can I migrate my certified account with it?

It’s if I want to show v2 migration with a video.

Otherwise I wil use cesium, a friend in Alsace will take gecko

Yes, in v2, you have to:

  • Add your cesium v1 account (if you don’t have it already)
  • Create a pass-protected new v2 account if you don’t have one already (or import it)
  • in your profile look for “Migrate My Identity”

Technical details here (basically, a cache issue of gtest nodes, and an initialization issue in new wallets/users when v1 is not there  that people reported today)

I’ll stop to update this thread, new releases will be announced here:

but I hope to have some automatic build system for G1nkgo in some point.

Hello,

I don’t know how much work it makes, but I’d say that it will be nice to have ginkgo releases in git.duniter.org
The big advantage of this, is to update via obtainium, no need of playstore

I agree totally but its something that we can do now, with calm, with the users working with all the apps without major issues.
